Proofs MUST be supplied. Colour accurate proofs must be supplied if colour accuracy is required.

Inserts: Rates are per thousand -- £180/m (< 12gms); £250/m (13-20 gms); £280/m (21-30 gms). Other brochure weights on application.

Appropriate Technology is directed towards communicating new practical
technologies, policies and ideas addressed to the elimination of poverty and hunger. Each issue will have regular articles from

  • German Appropriate Technology and Ecoefficiency Programme (gate) working unit of the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Techische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ)
  • The Centre for Alternative Technology – Northern News

Additional coverage will include: Agriculture, Water & Sanitation, Rural Building and Construction, Sustainable & Economic Development Projects and Programmes, Natural Resource Management, Forestry, Health, Education & Training, Disaster and Emergency Relief Management, Micro-enterprises.

Readership: includes rural development field workers, projects/programme managers, extension officers and researchers working on behalf of NGO’s, international aid agencies and co-ordinating bodies, government funded institutions, UN & intergovernmental organisation, research organisations, etc. Many readers are in a position of authority, and specify/recommend development expenditure.

Distribution: Normally, 2000 copies are printed and circulated (with extra copies printed for distribution at relevant exhibitions/conferences). Paid circulation in each region is approx: Asia 23%; Africa 19%; Europe 40%; Rest of the World 18%.
